Dear Sarah, If you use an incident light meter, place it in the spot where you want the honey to pour and face the lumisphere TOWARDS THE CAMERA. I wouldn't recommend using a reflective light meter, for the honey would give very different readings, as you can see in your video. Also, you may want to consider shooting the honey (slightly) in slow motion. If you do so, please bear in mind your shutter speed will change, meaning you'd have to adjust your exposure accordingly.
