Dear André,
So you're the only one who uses the term "Miniature," that seems good to
me, no problem. Similarly if you wish to identify the camera used in
your own work. I was interested to know if this was some new "movement,"
and I guess not. Of course, if one or two other people want to use your
term, that's between you and them. I'm all in favor of individual
artists making their own choices, whatever I might think of those
choices and perhaps more suspicious than I should be of "movements."
Thanks for replying.
Yours,
Fred

Hello Fred,
It’s just the pleasure to make very short silent artisanal 16 mm. films.
Little poems I call miniatures.
And mainly shot with the Bolex camera, a traditional tool in exp. cinema.
The technical imperfections from the analogue Equipment and film
process are essential to the visual poetry.
All the best.

Sorry, if I missed a defining post, but a search turned up nothing. On
the Web, the main use of "miniature" seems to be for films shot of
miniature sets.
Has the term been in use much? How is it defined? Any short film? What
length? The two I viewed had images of nature; is that always the
case? Can it include video? Is identifying the camera used a
requirement? Where I come from, talking about what kind of camera you
use was a bit unusual, and you didn't necessarily want that question
from viewers. At the moment it just looks like only an attempt to seek
attention through "clever" re-branding. Am I missing something?
