I realize this is an international forum and that this may be not as relevant for some of you as it for many of us. However, here in the USA as you most likely know, we are experiencing an authoritarian oligarchical push to reverse and destroy institutions that indeed help people. Our personal freedoms are now truly compromised so before some of us are truly hurt or imprisoned by this regime’s cruelty I am calling for as many filmmakers that are able to address this current situation in new work and local curator’s present this work and communicate with all of us to bring our community together in actionable response. This can be one of many initiatives but I believe as filmmakers we can start here. Yours, Phil Weisman
