Hi Sarah,
I'm so glad you posted this question! I made a short in 2002 called
"BusterBalls" made mostly of my cat Buster's hair, plus some of Peter
Miller's bright blue hair, created and debuted at the 24 Hour Moviemaking
Experiment held at the Dirt Palace in Olneyville, RI. After the screening
somebody asked: "Ew, is that the cat's pubic hair??" and I immediately
replied: "Ew, no!" but then upon further reflection I realized - wait, how
would you even know? Kitties furriness doesn't really distinguish like that.

Whenever I show this film I always remember my college film mentor Sally
Cloninger and how she'd loudly yell "HAIRBALL" if there was any fuzz in the
gate during class projections . . .

I don't think BusterBalls was ever transferred to digital, but I'm happy to
share the 16mm original if you'd like.
Yours in the fuzziness,
- Devon D.
