Although I can’t answer your question, the effect is beautiful.

Subject: [Frameworks] self formed Sierpsinki Triangle Fractal/Cellular Automata
patterns on film

Hi,

I have some footage on Fujichrome R25 Single-8 film, before shooting the cart
was stored outside for years, exposed to moisture and extreme temperatures.

After shooting and developing it I found that there are sierpinski triangle
like patterns all over the emulsion for the full lenght the roll.
Attached is one image scanned after I did a C41 color process for the film,
which was initially developed on black and white with rodinal stand process.
The patterns seem to have formed in the layer that is sensitive to blue color.

Has anyone seen this kind of pattern formation before? Still trying to figure
out if it's a physical or biological process behind it.

br,
Pilvari "Nosfe" Pirtola
