VSW supports artists in any stage of their career who are working in photography, film or media art by offering 4 week residencies in Rochester, NY. Project Space Residents receive 24/7 access to a private studio, workroom, digital printing equipment and an analog darkroom. Residents receive the support of VSW’s digital printing technician, program assistants, and curators, as well as research assistance in VSW’s collections. Housing within walking distance to VSW is provided for national/international artists. Each resident receives a stipend of $1000, plus $250 for supplies, and a $500 travel budget for those traveling from outside the Rochester region.
