And another very sad news. Message from Millennium film on instagram: We are devastated to learn of the passing of our co-founder, artist, filmmaker and trailblazer Flo Jacobs (1941-2025). Teamed with her husband Ken, Flo was instrumental in the earliest development of what grew into the Millennium Film Workshop we know today. In 1966 Ken and Flo acquired a handful of military surplus 16mm cameras and began teaching free filmmaking classes at the St. Marks Church, and from these humble roots we continue their important project to this day. We honor Flo today and our thoughts are with Ken and their whole family of incredible artists. Her legacy and her ethos live on through the generations of individuals that have succeeded her mission, taking the means of art-making into their own hands and communities.
