Hello Frameworkers, all of us at EIC want to thank our community of
cinematic experimentalists for making our 20th anniversary edition such a
success in spite of all the goofiness in terms of federal funding. To that
end we have several announcements:

1. This fall Millennium Film Journal will be reviewing our 275 page
yearbook commemorating 20 years producing EIC. The yearbook is titled
"Pause and Play: Experiments in Cinema, 20 years in the saddle." The book
contains pictures, essays, festival artwork and a complete list of all
artists, presenters, workshops and films that we have hosted over the
years. For those of you who might be interested in purchasing a copy, you
can find it on our website (www.experimentsincinema.org).
2. Also, this fall Senses of Cinema magazine will run an article about our
20th anniversary edition of EIC.
3. Last, and possibly most important, our call for submissions will be open
on Film Freeway August 1 - November 1, 2025. The next edition of EIC
(v21.5) will happen in Albuquerque, NM April 16-19, 2026 and an
online version will be available (free with no geo blocking) April 28-May
10, 2026.

Please note that although we have lost all our federal funding, the show
WILL go on AND *we have reduced our submission fees* this year as a way of
giving back to the community.

cinematically yours,
Team EIC
