This is an interesting scandal. Entry fees are supposedly non
refundable, but in instances such as these the festival obviously should
refund them. Maybe there's even a law (what nation's laws would apply)
about fraud here that would supercede the no refunds policy. As
awareness of instances such as this grows, and fewer people enter, maybe
these crooks will "get a clue."

It seems polyannaish to say they are busy and have lots to
watch--isn't that the actual job? Who can make any decision
about the kinds of media we all make in just 3 seconds? To say
its our responsibility to know the festival is disingenuous
when festivals do this consistently, and then claim they are
serious about what they're doing.
There are so many other things that may or may not deserve to
be called bs, but not watching the works??
