I did not have the pleasure know Ken very well. We met on the phone after his open heart surgery. Brakhage told me he was angry about it and suggested I talk with him, since I just had my surgery circa 1994. We talked for quite a while, do not remember what we said, however he did seem calm and we laughed about how both of us now belong to the "zipper club". This was before he deposited his work at Canyon Cinema.
