Hello, I am currently working on producing a film. I have plans to bury photographic film in soil for it to undergo a metabolic process of degradation.
I am looking for advice from those who have maybe undergone similar tests. I am planning to bury both unexposed and exposed film (potentially burying prints?) Maybe someone has some advice with regards to types of film, length of time for burial, how to process the film afterwards etc. I am also curious about souping techniques using soil. I will be burying the film in a peat bog in Ireland, which is quite acidic and waterlogged. Thank you in advance, Dylan Kerr
