Fully agree, Michael. Thanks for tracking this, which seems pretty accurate. What I've also seen over the years is that festivals are no longer being held responsible for rejection or even acceptance notifications, much less acknowledging submissions themselves. I've heard they don't like to send these out and despite their impact on filmmakers, it's still better to receive some sort of notification rather than nothing at all.
