I don't know about good portable xenons.... the closest I have seen to a decent portable has been an Eastman 25 with an aftermarket head... but there are some excellent Elmo 16mm xenon machines that Cardinal Sound And Motion Picture in Elkridge, MD is selling refurbished right now. They are very solid and stable machines.
