Heat is the number two enemy of film. Moisture is the number one.

If you absolutely MUST put the film in the fridge, put it in a sealed
ziplock bag with dessicant inside the bag and another pack of dessicant
in the film compartment or mag and leave it with the dessicant for a
couple days before putting it in there. If you get condensation inside
the lens or inside the film compartment you will regret it severely.

Personally, having lived in Southeast Asia where it is very hard to find
cool places sometimes, I would not worry so much about a week or two.
But I'd also keep the camera out of the sun, hot cars, anything that gets
much over maybe 120'F.
