Hi Frameworks, I know that many of you did respond to wanting to give a loving home to my steenbeck which is in an NYU building in NYC and need to be taken out of there. See I am in LA. So I can not help you other than lead you there and get you in the building during a week day. maybe the weekend. I apologize for those of you who did show an interest and then I did not get back to you. I heard back from a lot of people. So I was trying to sort through all of that and find those that were serious and those whom ideally would keep it in NYC and would allow me to use it when I returned or at least have it in a place where it could be some what communally accessed. I want to find a place where if you did not need it or want it after any amount of time you would not just sell it off or give it away to someone you did not know but would contact me and see if at that point I could help you find another place for it. It came from the NYC community and I thought it was a good idea to keep it active there. However, I am open to all sorts of things now since my ideal spots ended up not working out. It is a 6 plate. Taken apart there are 4 parts including the trim bin. the largest part is 3 1/2'' and is heavy, but it is on wheels. I recommend using a van or a truck with a ramp. Then 2 very strong people or 3 people can maneuver it. Otherwise to lift it into a van could take upwards of 4 very strong people. It is bulky!! It is heavy!! It is a wonderful machine that could last you a life time!!! It has mag and optical sound. All bulbs working. Has recently been serviced by Steenbeck master Paul Tomasko. I dont know the year...I think 80s. Paul said they were bought new by NYU and he has serviced this machine throughout its time there. its a good one. Please let me know if you can take it from 383 Lafayette asap! There is an elevator to the street to help you. I as I said am in LA and can only help you over the phone. Thank You, Katherine
