COAHSI IS SEEKING ARTISTS FOR FOURTH ANNUAL VIDEO + PERFORMANCE ART FESTIVAL
COAHSI is excited to present LUMEN 2013, a cutting-edge video art and
projection festival featuring site-specific video installations, light
installations, and art interventions by digital and new-media artists from
Staten Island and around the globe.
The goal of the annual LUMEN Festival is to highlight a diversity of
artists at the forefront of their media in an industrial landscape on
Staten Island’s waterfront.
LUMEN will take place on Saturday, June 15th, 2013 at the Parks
Department’s Lyons Pool site, accessible by foot from the St. George,
Staten Island Ferry Terminal. For more info on the site please see the

We are currently accepting applications from emerging artists, groups, or
organizations interested in participating in LUMEN 2013. The call is open
to new media, video art, installation, or performance-based projects.
THINGS LUMEN PREFERS:
Staten Island-based artists
Non-narrative video work
Site-specific proposals
Creative use of light or video
Durational and interactive performances
THINGS LUMEN DOESN’T LIKE:
Narrative films (LUMEN is not a film festival)
Traditional musical acts (LUMEN is not a concert)
Performance projects that use fire or hazardous materials
There is no entry fee.
The deadline for the application is Monday, February 25th, 2013.
