I've worked mostly with places in Vancouver, but I find that a lot of soundhouses still have their old magnatechs around and are not using them. So if you hit the right group of people they might just charge you a flat rate to dump the sound onto a hard drive (hopefully the reels don't need a lot of attention, otherwise you're looking at more cost).
