The House of Sweet Magic is a great DVD compilation (as has already been
mentioned) - both in terms of being technically a very high quality transfer
from the 16mm, and being a wonderful selection of films.

the 10 films on the DVD are also available to rent from the Harvard Film
Archive, on one specially re-mastered 16mm reel. last time i screened it (two
years ago) it cost $150 to rent.

HFA also have Helen Hill/Paul Gailiunas' last film, The Florestine Collection,
on 16mm. it's a wonderful and moving film, a mixture of archive covering the
period around the New Orleans hurricane , and animation. it's about half an
hour long. i've screened the Florestine Collection alongside some of Helen
Hill's shorts more than once, which (obviously) go together very well into a
programme

if anyone is considering screening Helen Hill's films, i have poster designs
and can send you the hi-res artwork - tiny jpegs of them here:

I teach Super 8 and animation and I would love to have a DVD of Helen Hill
films to show my students. Are her films in distribution at all?
