Dear Frameworkers, I'm sending this out to get a survey of the Frameworkers community for methods of digitizing stills from films.
In your experience, what's the best method of digitizing stills directly from films? More specifically without cutting the film and in situations where there are no outtakes to use. In the past, I've used consumer (and prosumer) flat bed scanners. This yields adequate results, but I'm never fully satisfied with the image quality. More recently, I've shot single frames and strips using a DSLR with a good Macro lens. Visually, the images look great. The limitation with this method is that the resolution is dictated but the camera's sensor. What method has given you good results?
