Hi All, I realize this is last minute but I want to post information about the Women’s Film Preservation Fund Grant, a project of New York Women in Film & Television because I am not sure that there is much awareness of it among members of this list. It is yearly grant so, if you are eligible and can’t complete an application on time, you will know that you can apply next year.
Ann New York Women in Film & Television’s Women's Film Preservation Fund (WFPF) calls for proposals for grants to restore and preserve American films in which women have had significant creative positions. The WFPF's mission is to save films of unique importance in American history and in the history of women's cinema. Individuals and not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply for grants of up to $10,000. Our next grant proposal deadline is October 1, 2014 The Women's Film Preservation Fund aims to contribute to an understanding of the importance of women in film history and to increase awareness of the necessity for film preservation. The Fund is committed to working with organizations and individuals with similar goals, and to sharing resources and information with them. The films are of all genres including experimental even though New York Women in Film & Television is largely an organization of film industry professionals.
