That screen shot is from old Final Cut. The original poster is using FCPX. I've never actually done video capture with Final Cut X. Is it cutting it automatically at all the points you hit record/stop on the camera? I could see it wanting to do that. Could you import it through another program and then bring it into Final Cut?
