I shoot 16 and 35 (and super 8) as much as I can, but it's getting challenging
with the labs going down. I do not own camera gear beyond a regular 16 bell and
Howell wind up and some super 8 cameras. I shoot so many different formats
that camera gear is impossible to keep up with! The Atlantic film co-op still
has 16, 35 and Super 8 camera gear and I have been loosely planning a project
with a local film maker who has her own 35mm kit.
The cinema has been very satisfying though, although it can be a challenge
getting prints. I would like to explore the idea of a film print Collector's
Collective, where collectors can share, trade and screen each other's prints,
and there is a central database of some sort. It is impossible for each
collector to be able to afford a complete library, but we all have an interest
in seeing these prints screened, and distributors are quickly getting out of
film based product. It would be interesting to hear thoughts from the
frameworks group on this topic.

Great to hear that you and your 35mm theater exist, Christopher! I am
also from the Martimes originally and it's great to see indigenous
film based micro-cinema! Are you still shooting 35/16mm film and do
you have your own equipment? I will be in touch.
