We’re researching a doc about the Electric Circus, a nightclub that existed on
the lower east side of NYC from 67-71. I’ve been told long since deceased
filmmaker Barbara Rubin shot some footage there
Might anyone have a contact with her estate? If you can help at all please
contact me directly.
We’re also searching for footage of the lower east side from that period as
well as the following performers and celebrities either performing at the club
or during that time period:

Circus Maximus
The Paupers
Elephants Memory
The United States of America
Dave Van Ronk
The Stone Ponies
Auto Salvage
Reunion with John Cage

Mel Powell
Michael Sahl (Theater)

Salvatore Martirano (Theater Lincolns Gettys burg address performed with a gas
mask on)

Christopher Tree
Pulsa (Electronic Music environments performed by Yale students)
Children of God
Cyrus Erie
Izhak Perlman
Stephens Kate
Michael Frager
David Rosenboom (Electronic Music)

Here is a partial list of celebrities who went there. Many of these people
were there on opening night.

Gene,

There is a great 360º sequence in Pete Rose's The Man Who Could Not See Far
Enough (interestingly enough, the same film just cited as also having a great
eclipse sequence).

Again, I had decent success doing this with two acetate films. To bring
this topic back up, I was wondering if anyone had done this with tape
splices on the source film? Again, I'm using a JK animation motor on 50hz,
so it's pretty darn slow (my shutter speed is appx 1/2) and I would say
gentle. I have a Neutaper and fresh tape, I'm thinking that only taping one
side will suffice. None of the splices will be on the actual material I
need as I'm doing short traveling mattes with a bit of space between each.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks David,
I showed that film every year for decades and forgot the 360 you mention.
