The Women’s Film Preservation Fund (WFPF), a project of New York Women in Film
& Television (NYWIFT) announces the opening of submissions for film
PRESERVATION grants for this year. The deadline is June 1, 2016.
The WFPF preserves films made by American women and films made in the US by
women from other countries. In the last 20 years the Fund has preserved over
100 films by women of all genres including: experimental, animation, narrative,
documentary, among others.
Individual filmmakers and institutions are eligible to apply to apply for an
existing film in need of preservation. (This is NOT a production grant.)
Grants of $10,000 are awarded for film to film preservations yearly. Films
with preservation budgets significantly higher than $10,000 are encouraged to
secure most of their funding elsewhere before applying for a WFPF grant.
