Dear Frameworkers, Thought some of you might find this interesting, so I'm sharing my latest video instrument here. One of my long standing ambitions has been to make a video synthesizer that clones the style of Stephen Beck's classic film "Video Weavings" (1976). By now I have finished a browser-based version of the instrument with an easy-to-use interface that I hope you will check out, find enjoyment in or even some use for (falling asleep, hypnosis, concert visuals). Besides being a colourful, cinematic equivalent to "muzak", I find that the patterns sometimes resemble traditional craft across cultures like Navajo weaving, Kilim rugs and Greek mosaic. The imagery can also be seen in psychedelic art, optical illusions and in the entoptic phenomena that all human beings see when we close our eye-lids or rub our eyes hard.
