Applications are now being accepted for the *Helen Hill Award* given to
independent filmmakers by the Orphan Film Symposium. Recipients introduce
and screen their work at the symposium, April 11-14, 2018, with funding to
support travel, accommodations, and registration.  The award is given by
NYU Cinema Studies and the University of South Carolina Film and Media
Studies program.

Also: We hope you will register to attend the 2018 Orphan Film Symposium,
April 11 through 14, at Museum of the Moving Image in New York. Join a
couple hundred others -- archivist, filmmakers, scholars, curators,
preservationists, enthusiasts -- devoted to screening, saving, and studying
an eclectic variety of neglected moving images. Three full days and four
nights, including catered meals.
