Hi Andy, Thanks for asking for clarification. I am thinking of films along the lines of Pleasantville, where "real world" people are transported into a narrative world by magical/fantastic means. What I was picturing specifically was something where a movie goer at a cinema walks into the screen, or is otherwise drawn into it and finds themselves in that films world. I hope that helps. Also the subject was meant to read "entering the film". Thanks so much to everyone for your input!

Do you mean breaking the fourth wall, only in reverse? For example, a character directly addresses the camera/audience, then moves into the diegesis? This happens a lot in the TV series House of Cards. The opening scene of Woody Allen's Annie Hall does this, sort of. William Holden's opening narration in Sunset Boulevard? I would think it's more common to find films that move in the opposite direction, a character breaking the fourth wall after being within the narrative.
