Hi Warren, I have used the Pocket Light Meter app when I needed to shoot something and didn't have another meter. I took readings from a gray piece of cardboard to try to get something closer to an incident reading, since the apps, as far as I understand, only give reflective values. The results were good, and I'd do that again if necessary but would opt for an incident/spot combination or just incident meter when possible.
