Thank you for this - I actually have these documents.

I'm really wondering about this because I think we don't address this
subject enough when we teach scriptwriting, and am sure different
filmmakers do scriptwriting for their films.

For ex., Raoul Peck's *I Am Not Your Negro* worked with James Baldwin's
text, but also must have been a script to start out with or as at some
point in the process.  Would be curious to hear from any filmmakers about
how they approach this in their work.
