Baby Lima Beans in Cream

These are just so perfect. Creamy, buttery, and smooth. If you have
fresh baby Lima beans, all the better, but frozen are just fine.


16 ounces frozen baby Lima beans
1/2 to 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons butter
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Cook the Lima beans in boiling salted water as directed on package. I
sometimes add about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of sugar to the cooking water.

Drain well. Add the cream and butter. Taste and add salt and pepper
as desired.

Heat thoroughly. Serve hot.

Serves 4 to 6.
