Prep Time: 10 min

Makes: 8 servings

You're minutes away from an awesome ice-cream topping!

1(15.5-oz.) can pitted dark sweet (Bing) cherries
Orange juice (about 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup sugar
1tablespoon cornstarch
2tablespoons brandy, if desired
1quart (4 cups) vanilla ice cream

1 . Drain cherry liquid into 1-cup measuring cup; add enough orange juice to
make 1 cup. Set cherries aside.
2 .  In small saucepan, combine cherry liquid mixture, sugar and cornstarch;
mix well. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil, stirring
constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in brandy and cherries. Serve sauce warm or
cold over individual servings of ice cream.
