>From the Better Homes and Gardens website... ~~~~~ Steak and Mushrooms Start to Finish: 20 minutes Ingredients * 4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 3/4 inch thick (about 1 pound total) * Salt and black pepper * 1 tablespoon olive oil * 3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (about 8 ounces) * 1/4 cup seasoned beef broth * 1/4 cup whipping cream Directions 1. Sprinkle steaks lightly with salt and pepper. In a large skillet cook steaks in hot oil over medium-high heat for 7 to 9 minutes or to desired doneness (145 degrees F for medium-rare or 160 degrees F for medium), turning once halfway through cooking. Transfer steaks to a serving platter; keep warm. 2. In the same skillet cook and stir mushrooms over medium-high heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in broth and cream. Cook and stir over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Season sauce to taste with additional salt and pepper. Spoon mushroom mixture over steaks to serve. 3.
