Tomato Chicken Risotto

Ingredients:
1 (3lb) fryer, cut into serving pieces
½lb pork link sausage, cut into chunks
1 small green pepper, seeded and chopped
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 (8oz each) cans tomato sauce
½ cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup raw long-grain converted rice
Grated Parmesan cheese

Method:
Rinse the chicken pieces and pat dry. Set aside. In a skillet, brown the 
sausage. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on absorbent towels. Brown the 
chicken pieces in the sausage drippings. Drain well. Place the chicken in a 
slow cooker. Combine the drained sausage, pepper, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, 
water, salt and rice, and pour over the chicken.  Cover and cook on LOW for 
8-10 hours. Just before serving, sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese.
Makes 6 servings
