undefined symbol: g_thread_init

ok, i compiled both glib-1.2.3 and gtk+-1.2.3 again, watched the
configure output of both, and had no errors about threads.
but it didn't solve my problem. i still have:

./plugins/freeamp.ui: undefined symbol: g_thread_init

what else can be wrong here?
