Run "./configure --help" to see the options. It looks like --includedir and
--libdir might be what you are looking for.

How could I get the configure script to look in places other than
/usr/include
and /usr/local/include
I've been digging through makefiles(.in) and trying some stuff, but without
success. Many of my includes are in /usr/local/gnome/include, among them
esd.h
Could a kind soul enlighten me?
