Ok, I'm in the process of hacking a metadata plugin to extract tracknames from
the cdplayer.ini file. I now have something that sort of works (which is
attached) however I have a few questions.
My plugin is based on the CDDB plugin, and still contains some superflous code.
Also it is hardcoded to use G:\ for the CD drive, but it should be obvious.
1) How should my plugin interact with the CDDB plugin? Currently, it appears
that both get a shot at providing information, but my plugin seems to go first.
2) How can I find out which drive letter is being used? Currently the URL passed
to my plugin seems to be made up and doesn't reveal the location of a file. I
guess I would be able to track down a CDROM drive from within my plugin, but
what happens if there is more than one drive? Is this a bug with whoever is
calling me?
What happens if there is more than one CD-ROM drive? Does freeamp even work with
more than one drive?
3) How do I integrate my plugin with the build system? Bearing in mind that
there is no point building anywhere other than win32.
