Hi all,
I'm the developer of FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec):
http://flac.sourceforge.net/
I was contemplating writing an input plugin for FreeAmp to decode
FLAC files so I thought I would ask a few questions since I don't
know much about FreeAmp. (I've looked a little through the source
though.)
1. Is all that's necessary to do this is write an LMC extending
LogicalMediaConverter? I'm assuming that the LMC is compiled into
a library which is discovered at runtime by FreeAmp (i.e. no need
to add other code to the FreeAmp mothership).
2. If I do such a thing, should it go in, say, freeamp/lmc/flac/
or do you have a separate place outside the main FreeAmp source
area where you guys manage third party plugins, or are third
party plugins totally independent entities like with XMMS,
Winamp, etc. ?
Josh
