The cost of a converter box? Between $50 and $70. Electronics retailers will 
begin selling the boxes in early 2008.

And here’s a bit of good news. Also beginning in early 2008, coupons valued at 
$40 each will be available to help you cover the cost of the converter boxes 
you need. Households will be able to apply for up to two coupons total, one 
coupon per box. So converting your old TV really won’t be very expensive, and 
the shows you receive are free!
