Hi, My HP EliteBook 8540p running FreeBSD 9.1-PRERELEASE has a not dischargeable battery too. ;-) Some time, acpi is working fine (there is about 3 weeks for the last time), the data provided by acpiconf was reactualized and the kernel said when ac power was plugged/unplugged. Currently the kernel said only when I unplug ac power and lid status.
Cordially. Q.
