Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me resolve some ACPI errors I get on my laptop under FreeBSD 12 RELEASE. The main ones I notice on boot are:
"Firmware Error (ACPI): Failure creating..." and "ACPI Error: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS" Suspend won't work. All the fn keys don't work either so I can't change the screen brightness anytime after the BSD loader. Lid close does nothing and for some reason power management in Plasma 5 shows two batteries when, to knowledge I only have one. I have Gentoo and Windows 10 on separate drives and they're both fully functional aside from Bluetooth in Gentoo. I have observed when booting from an Ubuntu live USB that there were some "ACPI Error: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS" errors but once Gnome loads everything works. This machine came preinstalled with Ubuntu 16.04 although it's Dell's own image with some extra firmware and drivers. I've linked my ACPI dump, dmesg -v, etc. as well as the disassembled DSDT I extracted under Windows. Maybe there's other system information I can gather under Windows or Linux. In the meantime I'm not sure what to look for in comparison to Linux's implementation of ACPI-CA. This is my first time on FreeBSD and I like it quite a bit more than Linux so it'd be nice if it could be my daily driver.
