Michael,

You use PC-BSD (http://www.pcbsd.org) if you want an EZ desktop.

There is no EZ desktop for FreeBSD itself.

In all honesty, I haven't setup FreeBSD in a few years for a desktop - we like 
it for servers & routers.

However, I seem to recall that the install was pretty painless.

Out of curiosity - what is the status for EZ install/usage for something like 
'FreeBSD on the desktop' ?
