Nov 14 12:18:43 Amnesiac ntpd[19743]: ntpd 4.2.4p5-a (1) However when running the same ntpd binary on the command line with --version it reports: ntpd - NTP daemon program - Ver. 4.2.4p8 This was causing some confusion regarding what version of ntpd was actually installed, causing us to initially fail an security assessment. Is this version discrepancy intentional? >How-To-Repeat: 1. service ntpd onestart 2. grep "ntpd" /var/log/messages 3. ntpd --version Compare the output of the two... >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-bugs To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[email protected]"
