Following the workarounds in
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=208529 and:
commenting out
#start_postcmd="local_unbound_poststart"
in /etc/rc.d/local_unbound, as well as
#include: /var/unbound/control.conf
in /etc/unbound/unbound.conf
lead to the following error as per /var/log/messages:
Jun 15 11:41:28 test unbound: [72567:0] notice: init module 0: validator
Jun 15 11:41:28 test unbound: [72567:0] notice: init module 1: iterator
Jun 15 11:41:28 test unbound: [72567:0] fatal error:
/usr/src/contrib/unbound/util/netevent.c:2238: comm_timer_callback: pointer
whitelist fptr_whitelist_comm_timer(tm->callback) failed
