Summary: AMD Ryzen: strange compilation failures using
poudriere or plain buildkernel/buildworld
Product: Base System
Version: 11.0-STABLE
Hardware: amd64
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---

Hi,
with reference to:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=219399
on an AMD Ryzen system there are strange compilation errors consisting of
- bus errors
- segmentation faults
- unable to rename temporary 'XXX' to 'YYY' using TMPFS
running poudriere bulk builds or plain buildkernel/buildworld
These compilations will succeed with a high probability if you start them
again.
The root cause to that is still unknown. Related threads in AMD's forum and
elsewhere can be found here:
