I downgraded our production servers from 12.0 to 11.1-RELEASE-p15 and for 5 weeks they have worked without any problems. Previously we saw a problem after 4 weeks, then another after 1 week - so whilst there is a chance I have not waited long enough, I think this definitely fixes my problem.
