Bug ID: 262379
Summary: zfs module parameter zfs_max_missing_tvds isn't
accessible via sysctl?
Product: Base System
Version: 13.0-RELEASE
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Some People
Priority: ---
Component: kern
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I'm building a system with limited redundancy consisting of a raidz1 array 18
TB drives holding ephemeral data (not backed up) and a mirrored special vdev on
SSD for metadata and smaller files (being backed up).
In my research I hoped to use zfs_max_missing_tvds=2 and mount read-only to
copy the small files to a new pool and destroy the ephemeral data?
It looks like there is no way to enable this option in FreeBSD, yet it is
covered in man zfs-module-parameters? Linux has it accessible via the /sys
filesystem.
Is there a reason it's not something that can be set from sysctl or
/boot/loader.conf?
