screenshot of halt
Remember the classic PC startup message "Keyboard not detected, press F1 to
continue"?
Issuing the "halt" command causes the kernel to detach the USB keyboard and
then ask me
to "press any key to reboot". If I press a key nothing happens because the USB
keyboard
device is gone.
