The vm.domain.* sysctls provide a detailed breakdown of memory usage and are relatively new (added when NUMA support was added to FreeBSD). The vm.stat.* sysctls are much older and much more commonly used as a data source for memory usage summaries. For the latter, I think a hack to hide the implementation detail of PQ_UNSWAPPABLE is ok.
