For some reason, in normal operation one does not notice issues, but with iSCSI it does not work. Recently I needed this machine to be an iSCSI client instead of a server, and the data was corrupted in a similar manner. I should follow the advice given by Jordan in comment #5 and enable the iSCSI digest algorithms. However, for now I have instead added "-rxcsum -txcsum -rxcsum6 -txcsum6" to the ifconfig lines (IPv4 and IPv6) for this interface in /etc/rc.conf.
