Intel Xeon E5-2698 v4 X99 system will only boot with SMP disabled in
/boot/loader.conf or using "safe mode" from the boot menu. I have confirmed
this on 14.2-RELEASE 14.3-RELEASE and 15-CURRENT (PRERELEASE). I have a spare
SSD in this system, so I can install and do whatever is needed to collect more
information and get this fixed. I also have another processor that I am pretty
sure will work with FreeBSD in this same system with SMP enabled.
